This came up on creative ireland so I said I'd post this
for anyone trying to decide where is the best to study. (acccording to 3D World magazine, that is)

Not sure how accurate this, had a friend who went to Bournemouth for a masters and he said the degree level classes had poor equipment and the quality wasnt good. Also know a few people from Teeside and their work wasnt impressive, same goes for Abertay. None of them are on par with the work I have seen from the Vancouver Film School.

They rankings were based on how many student films got into a number of festivals over a five year period, but grading using a system like that is probably prone to give some false indications, the top ten I posted were the top ten for UK and Ireland. I think I'll edit it and add in the world top 20 too...

I've sent an email to 3d world asking if they'd post a pdf of the whole article because they have a breakdown of all courses in UK and Ireland too which I think would be a great resource, if they get back to me I'll post it up.
